My First Time to do a Halloween Makeup!

Hi everyone! I'm hoping you're all doing fine. Yeah, I know...It's late to post this. I was just too busy to blog. LOL Well, let's just say this is a post- Halloween entry. *wink

To be honest, this was my first time to do a Halloween makeup. It had been a super exciting experience, actually! I really had fun! :)

These photos were taken last November 26. These kids attended a trick or treat sponsored by Jollibee in a mall.

The girl is a 8-year-old and his younger brother, a 3-year-old.

I had to watch various YouTube videos to come up with an idea. So, the original idea for the girl was a creepy doll, I just don't know if I was able to carry out the plan.

I just mainly used a face paint palette here, black eyeliner, false eyelashes, some eyeshadows. For the bloody effect, I just created my own mixture: maple syrup, water, red food color and cornstarch. While the blood all over the dress was just acrylic paint.

Love the gory look here! Look how much candies she got! :) Lots of people were asking to take a photo with here which makes me so proud, of course.

Let's now proceed with the vampire look I've created.

It was a challenge for me to do this look with a 3-year-old. Sooo hard! Well as expected,  kids especially in this age group are naughty, not paying attention, impatient and quite irritable. Anyways, I think I was able to show the idea of him being a vampire in this photo. :)

This boy is reaaalllyy adorable! His first time to trick or treat!

These next photos were taken last October 31, another trick or treat in a mall.

A butterfly fairy makeup I've created. I so love the colorful false eyelashes here!

Pretty, isn't it? :)

This boy just enjoyed the Superman costume and makeup.

Such an adorable kid! :)

Again, I know it's quite late to post this but I just wanted to share it with you guys. How was your Halloween? LOL Christmas is just around the corner. Yay! So exciting!

September-October Haul!

Hi everyone! This is actually a collection of the items that I've purchased last September and this month of October. Just want to share it with you! :)

I bought this compact hair dryer last month. And would you believe, I got this for only 150php ($4)? Yes! 150 Pesos! First of all, this caught my eye since it's purple and I instantly fell in love with it.. not taking into consideration about the durability. Lo and behold, the first time I've used it, I was amazed coz it performs really well. This has cool setting too! Yeah, I don't need a "heavy duty" one to dry my hair! LOL This is such a steal! Love it! :) Note: This is my first time to own a hair dryer. LOL!

I got this ceramic compact straightener from Vidal Sassoon. This costs around 1,500php but since they're on sale, I got this for only 1,300php ($30). At first, I was hesitant about the price coz I'm not looking for a "heavy duty" pricey curling iron. Yes, curling iron! LOL I decided to try this out since this is a 2-in-1 straightener/ curler plus this is the most affordable in the mall. LOL! Hmmm.. if only they have this in purple, it would be perfect! :( Anyway, this works really great, it has an on and off switch and a light indicator. And it has a 2-year warranty too! :)

I got this anti-tangle comb from Landmark last week for only 49.75php ($1).At first glance, this one looks like a straightener but the comb is actually noticeable so it caught my attention. It looks nice and pretty cool. Hmm..it works great as well! :)

I purchased this c-lium fiber in capsules from Watson's. The box contains 50 capsules for around 100php ($2). This is not my first time to take this product. Last year, I have tried this in the husk form but I just couldn't take the texture and taste, so I've stopped. This is actually way convenient since it's in the capsule form. The downside is actually the recommended dosage, 5 capsules twice a day? seriously?! That's too much! When I've tried the husk form, one sachet is enough per day. Uggghhh. I decided to take 2 capsules per day, LOL!

This water-based facial moisturizer from Celeteque works great. I've consumed a 50mL already. I've decided to get this in 100mL this time since it's on sale! I got this for only 188php($4) from the regular price of 209php. Yeah, not much difference. LOL

I got this San San BB cream from HBC for only 149.75php ($3) Actually, I've been waiting for this for the longest time. Every time I visit HBC outlets, this product is out of stock. So, I was totally excited when I got this especially that it's in the shade Natural, not the Beige which is too dark.

I got this San San concealer from HBC as well for only 80php (around $2). I also have this in Natural but that's too light so, I decided to get another one in Beige. The shade is perfect on my skin. This one works great as long as you use it minimally, it tends to crease up if you apply a lot on your under eyes.

YAY! Artist Studio brushes!!! I can say that these brushes are amazing! I own a couple of brushes and I was impressed so I've decided to add more to my collection. They works really great, super soft and non- shedding plus they're sooo affordable! love them! It was perfect, they're on sale when I purchased these. :)

From left to right: liner brush @ 36.75php (80cents), concealer brush @45.75php ($1), slanted eyeliner brush @45.75php ($1)

From left to right: slanted fluffy brush @ 27.75php (64 cents) , soft dome brush @ 54.75php ($1)

I got this Essence long lasting eye pencil for 150php($3). I was originally looking for a white auto eye liner from L.A. colors  however it was out of stock that time so I just decided to pick up this one from Essence instead in the shade, silver. The shade is pretty as well. Long lasting indeed! :)

I got this lip pencil from Nichido in the shade Rosette for only 90php($2). This is my first time to own one and based on the reviews online, I must try this one! The shade is pretty neutral and the pencil glides well on the lips, make sure to exfoliate beforehand.

I got this pretty false eyelashes from Landmark for only 19.75php (45 cents). It contains the lash glue already! So excited to try these out!

I got these hair velcros for only 19.75php (45 cents) from Landmark. This packet contains 8 pieces, 2 pieces per color (blue, white, black and pink). These are important whenever I am doing my makeup to prevent my hair from disturbing it.

I got this facial sponge from Landmark for only 14.75php (30 cents). This is just for basic retouching.

I got this eyebrow tweezers for 113php (around $3). It has a container which makes it super cute, right? if only they have this in purple..I would be so happy! :) It works great, too!

This neon yellow nail polish from Caress is super cute! I got this for only 22.75php (50 cents).

I just recently discovered that I can use this NYX powder blush in taupe as a contour powder so I've ordered this online for 260php ($6). I'm so excited to try this out! :)

I also ordered this NYX jumbo eye pencil in Milk online for 180php ($4). This would be perfect in brightening the eyes. So excited to use this!:)

Last but not the least, I got this ELF cream eyeliner in black for 160php (around $4) online. I've read so many raves about this product so I've decided to give it a try.

So, these are the latest addition to my makeup collection. Share your thoughts on the comment box below.:)

My FIRST ever Client : MAKEOVER

Hi everyone! I'm so excited to let you know that I was able to conduct my first ever makeover to a client. LOL! Well, this just took me from 7 to 11 in the morning. HA! I'm just a novice MUA.*wink

Okay, let's begin!

She's my client, a 17-year-old. We're actually preparing for a photoshoot needed for her upcoming 18th birthday in December. Having that in mind, I don't want to create a "so-dramatic" look on her, I'm just aiming to achieve a "better skin" focusing on correcting and concealing considering her acne scars and pimples. Sorry, I would not be able to provide you a detailed products used. Well, I can say..I would work on it soon. :)

Here's the result:

Please bear in mind that I'm just a beginner and I want you to know that I'm open for criticisms since this is my first work. :)

For her hair, she wanted to use some hair extensions aiming for a half updo.

I've used a hair straightener to curl some hair to go with the hair extensions. On the top, I've just backcombed then put hairspray and some bobby pins and on the middle part, I've just twisted and encircled some hair and put bobby pins and of course, hairspray for finishing.

I've also helped her pick the outfit for the photoshoot, anyways she would also wear her gown. So, here's the OOTD:

Lovely, isn't it? *wink I hope you like my first work. Please share your thoughts on the comment box below.

KOOKIES & KREME

Hi everyone! How have you been doing lately? I hope everything's going well . :)

September has been a rollercoaster ride for me. A lot of personal stuff involved but of course, there were great ones too! Well, I can say that these babies keep me sane every now and then. They give me joy and some kind of fulfillment in taking care of them. HAHA! They are my TWO SIBERIAN HAMSTERS that we've got last September! I'm just too excited to tell you how cute they are... :)

See! They are so adorable! So tiny and fluffy! I want to squeeze them everytime we play. LOL

So cute, right? They fit perfectly in Hamlet's mini mansion. Hamlet is now staying on the mini tank. BTW, he's now grown up, sometimes I feel sad that he's on that tiny tank.   :(

KOOKIES & KREME, such cutie names! Kookies, the female hamster, is the one with brown fur. Kreme, the male, is the one with so adorable grey and white fur!

They are about 4 weeks old when we got them, so they are now about 8 weeks. I'm getting a little worried thinking of them reaching 12 weeks coz I need to separate them already. Hmm.. I'm not sure if we'll purchase another tank or just put a divider, well to save money and space. There are times when I'm thinking of breeding them... HAHA! We don't have enough space in the house and yet I'm thinking of this! And not to mention the budget to be allocated for the food and other materials. *sigh Well, what can I do..they're just too cute! I also love playing with them. They are tame now coz they were somehow exposed to my scent already. The first few times that I've tried to hold them, they were biting me like tiny bites comparable to needlestick but milder. LOL! It's so hard to explain. Anyways, they love sunflower seeds. All they do is roam around the tank, most of the time they are sleeping. They never tried to escape like the syrian hamsters do. Well, Hamlet is just too eager to escape nowadays so I've covered the top of the tank (with holes of course) and I've placed heavy objects to ensure he won't be able get out.

Yummy Pancakesss!!!

Hi everyone! How's your day going so far? I hope you're doing just fine!

I've been craving for pancakes since last week. And since I want it to be homemade, I've purchased the ingredients last time I went to the supermarket. So, today is the day! I woke up as early as 7 am...hmmm! That's early for me!

Here are the ingredients:
✔Magnolia Pancake & Waffle Mix (400 g)
✔2⃣eggs
✔1cup of water

Toppings:
✔Butter
✔Sugar
✔Nips

This is actually very easy to do, instructions are provided at the back of the packaging.

Tips:

✔Make sure that the pancake mix is thoroughly dissolved.
✔Preheat a pan for a minute at a low fire
✔You can put a small amount of cooking oil if you want. (My no cooking oil version is better! )
✔You can use a measuring cup in pouring the mixture, a shaped molder is also a great idea!
✔Check the pancake from time to time, when you see bubbles on top, wait for about 8 seconds and it's time to flip it!

Here's my 4-layer pancakes with butter, sugar and Nips!

Yum!

How about you ladies, do you have your own versions of pancakes? Share them on the comment box below!

Happy Halloween!

Hi everyone!
Yeah, I know! It's kinda too soon  however it's too obvious that I'm so excited and I just can't hide it! LOL

Well... halloween is really just around the corner, isn't it? And whenever that "season" comes, I just don't know how to feel... be paranoid about some sort of paranormal happenings / encounter (since my weirdo side could be very active during that time) or just be thrilled about the horror stories!? Hmmm... What I'm sure of,  as early as October, a lot of "gimmicks" are certainly "in". There are Pinoy books full of ghost stories, halloween parties including costume contests, TV programs with halloween themed episodes, horror movies, etc.

This year, I'm actually looking forward to do a halloween makeup just for fun but I don't have any idea how I would be able to do that. That's the problem! LOL So, since I have that attitude of doing my  research about a certain idea beforehand,  I want to share with you this Youtube channel that I've recently found. This will surely capture your interest because their works are absolutely COOL!

This video is one of my favorites, it's kinda boring to watch at first since she's not talking or it doesn't have any background music but I tell you, you'll finish watching it because it's simply AMAZING! The finish look is just too scary! I love it!!! Anyway, I don't intend to try that since it's very tedious and I don't have enough budget, LOL!

I've also got some face painting ideas here. I love her works! However, it totally requires a lot of practice in order to do something like that. LOL

Well, I don't have a final plan yet. These are just some ideas to think about. Hmmm...

How about you ladies? Are you excited for Halloween? Share your thoughts! :)

HAMLET, my adorable Syrian hamster

Hi everyone! How are you? Sorry, I wasn't able to post lately.

Well, I'm just so excited to let you know what's keeping me "busy" these days! *wink

This is not actually my first time to have a hamster as a pet. Back in 2010, I had a pair of Siberian hamsters.

Unfortunately, I had them for just four months. The male hamster only lived for two months, I was away for like 3 days but then I've requested  my sister to take care of them. When I came home, he was okay. The following day, I just found him dead, that was October of 2010. :(  The other one died after new year. I've found her dead one morning, with ants all over her. I've been so depressed for what happened to them, I felt that I didn't took care of them that much.

Just this August, my boyfriend and I bought a pair of Syrian hamsters as a present for his niece's birthday.
We are in-charge to take care of them since his niece is only a 8-year-old. This somehow awaken the pet lover in me. We placed the 5 gallon talk on top of the cabinet, to prevent his toddler nephew to reach it. After 2 days, the female hamster was gone. It seems like she climbed on the water bottle to get out. We looked for her everywhere but she's nowhere to be found. :(

Because of that, my boyfriend and I decided to purchase a bigger tank for Hamlet, the male hamster.  We have the 15 gallon tank now and we also bought a seesaw tunnel for him. I started searching for DIY hamster toys online and I've tried making some of them. I've made the tissue roll cardboard to make a tunnel and also the nipa hut made of popsicle sticks. We also got him a friend, Megan, a female Syrian hamster.

We have tried placing them in the 15 gallon tank, the first 5 minutes turned out okay but the next minute have been horrible. Megan, who is a little bit bigger than Hamlet is fond of chasing him and starting a fight. My boyfriend immediately decided to separate them. We put Megan in the 5 gallon tank. From what I've read, older Syrian hamsters are territorial and could kill other hamsters. So, they are not meant to be placed in one tank.
The artistic side of me worked for this. Purely made of popsicle sticks, wooden sticks for the stand, non-toxic glue and glue sticks. For the tunnel, my boyfriend used a recycled water bottle and electrical tape. My most favorite detail on this is the hanging bridge... super cute, right? :)

I'll never stop until I am contented with how a certain project looks like. So, I've added some details on it like the roof on the nipa hut since I've noticed Hamlet is fond of climbing on top of that box and may be a way for escape so I came up with a roof plus a tower-like structure on his way to the tunnel.

We noticed that Hamlet is also fond of climbing on the tower, so I had to remodel the structure for safety purposes. :)

Here is Hamlet, enjoying his mini-palace :)

Hamlet is so adorable, isn't he?

It's always fulfilling to have a pet. It's like having a child, I guess.I don't have a child yet, so that's just my opinion.  LOL

I want to hold him, but I guess were not yet ready for that. He's getting used to my smell right now. In the next few days, I hope.Well, I'm so excited for that! *wink

How about you ladies? What kind of pets do you have? Share your stories on the comment box below. :)
